My interests
I live in West Auckland, with my husband and 2 fur babies – who are spoilt and live like little kings in our house! Outside of Clinic, and research, I love to spend time exploring NZ and the world, meeting new people and seeing new sights.
My why
Nine years ago I experienced burnout while in an extremely stressful work situation. My body and mind (and spirit!) could not take any more, and after I had my first miscarriage I decided it was time to quit my job and walk away. What followed was a year of unsuccessful job hunting, and a general decline in my wellbeing. A couple of years later I went on a self-guided 3 day ‘future planning’ retreat out at Piha – and after some serious introspection and walks along the beach, I realised what I wanted to be, and shortly after I began my studies to become a Naturopath.
Over the years I have worked hard to heal my nervous system, to nourish my soul, balance my hormones, and to understand the infertility that my husband and I have experienced. My personal experience in these areas help to strengthen my practice, providing me with a unique perspective when working with my clients. I truly understand what it is like to struggle through trying times in life, but I know that there is hope on the other side, sometimes we just need a little help to get through.
